SUBJECT:

The Attack-Attack dynamic poses a particularly difficult challenge for the EFT couples therapist. This presentation will focus on strategies that enable us to put out the fires of conflict and transform the powerful attachment energies that fuel ignition, using them instead to effect de-escalation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Participants will be able to create an intersubjective field with their emotionally escalated clients which will enable them to contain the conflict in a manner which creates a feeling of safety. Participants will be able to disarm the dynamics of conflict by assessing and validating the underlying attachment-related motivations.
Participants will be able to help clients transform negative energy into attachment-related primary emotion in order to effect de-escalation of the cycle of conflict.
