Introducing the Application of Ketamine Assisted EFCT: A revelatory intervention that assists clients and clinician alike

from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Presented by: Kathryn Rheem, EdD, LMFT and Jennifer Olden, MA, MFT
Kathryn and Jen
Join us in-person in Oakland, CA, or online from anywhere in the world, for a very special one-day training with EFT Cafe’s Kathryn & Jen, introducing the application of Ketamine Assisted Emotionally Focused Therapy!
DESCRIPTION:
As many of you know, psychedelic assisted therapy is our field's leading edge. Many models of therapy are integrating psychedelic assisted therapy with great benefits. While not technically a psychedelic, Ketamine -- a dissociative anesthetic with psychedelic features -- is a legal and safe drug used around the world every day. It is on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) list of the six drugs needed in every medical clinic which is just one indicator of its safety! Ketamine for mental health is considered an "off label" use. Still legal. Totally safe. Very interesting as an assist for therapists like us!
Ketamine is called the "benevolent disruptor" for how it helps our nervous systems get breaks (dissociate) from our regular, typical, habitual defenses. In these breaks from our regular defenses, new possibilities emerge which Ketamine assisted therapy amplifies. Ketamine provides an assist for us EFT clinicians and for our clients who have often worked so hard in therapy (sometimes for years) to befriend their inner-worlds.
Over the last two years, Kathryn has received over 130 hours of specialized Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) training (from the father of KAP, Phil Wolfson, MD, of Ketamine Training Center, Polaris Insight, Fluence among others) and has been providing Ketamine Assisted EFT for her couples for the last year. Numerous times, she has personally experienced the healing that Ketamine sessions can provide. Jennifer has received training from Polaris Insight and has experienced Ketamine personally in her work with ShaMynds Healing Center. Jennifer is also a member of Journey Clinical.
Kathryn's clients report less anxiety and depression, more emotional flexibility, and more ease in finding primary emotions and sharing them among many other positive comments. One of Kathryn's couples said, "Ketamine dissolves my shame and I have more freedom to be myself without my lifelong shame in my way." This person's partner said, "Ketamine brings my partner back to me...I'm so grateful." Ketamine sessions have helped Kathryn's couples get unstuck. Defenses get dissolved temporarily (Ketamine stays alive in our nervous systems for 24 - 48 hours.) which gives us enough time and openness using KAEFT (Ketamine Assisted EFT) to find and work with what lies below those defenses!
Join us for our one-day EFT training with this revelatory intervention that may change your practice and your client's day-to-day life experience! PowerPoint slides and videos of real clients on Ketamine will be used for teaching. Questions are welcome and we will make plenty of time for Q+A!
